Many thanks!!! to both these lovely ladies who recently sent me goodies in the post for collage!
“Bonne année” was created using a French perfume box with scrap pieces of label from a champagne bottle I shared with my family in Paris 2009
For the base I rescued some gold butter paper about to be thrown out in the rubbish
The little window shows a pink flower
Update! I took off the “I love Paris tape” as it just didn’t work for me.
This collage is on a piece of water colour paper aged the with Parisian essence, then baked in the oven.
A piece of vintage French paper old blue ticket is taped down with tartan scotch tape Ive had since the ’70s.
A cardboard typo tag, washi tape, string and ink.
I really enjoyed creating the nature collages. I drifted back to the Summers of the ’60’s when with friends, running fast on the path to the beach ,our feet would burn:) I also remembered organizing the nature table at primary school. My favorite subjects were, art, nature and social studies. I collected many of the coastal found objects items from Australian beaches and from my own backyard.

30 Days of Collage – Stephanie levy
My first practical day of the “30 Days of Collage” by Stephanie Levy course.
It was Melbourne Cup Day so this was an excuse for me to grab a (naughty snack attack) stash to help me along with my artplay day. I gathered all my paints , crayons, salt, tapes and began.
The first lot of images are the process using, paint with salt, glue , tape, pastel and more…The second lot of images are the finished result.
What a fun way to get a big bunch of gorgeous papers together for creating collage and books !
and a few more papers felt pen, masking tape and water.
Thanks Stephanie!
